cuigg Data Reporter

Accessibility Statement

Where Data Reporter stands against WCAG 2.1 AA and EN 301 549, what already works, and what we're still improving.

Our commitment

We want everyone who is sent a Data Reporter report to be able to read and use it, whatever assistive technology they rely on. We measure the service against WCAG 2.1 level AA, the standard referenced by EN 301 549 and the EU Web Accessibility Directive.

Conformance status

Data Reporter is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA: most of the interface meets the standard, and some parts do not yet.

What already works

  • The whole interface is usable by keyboard, including the report gallery and navigation.
  • Pages declare their language, use landmarks, and label form fields and dialogs.
  • Animations are disabled for readers with a reduced-motion preference.
  • Light and dark themes follow your system preference and can be switched manually.
  • Reports can be exported to Word and PDF for reading in your preferred tools.

Known limitations

  • Some charts do not yet carry full text alternatives; the figures they show are also presented in the surrounding text and tables wherever possible.
  • Chart series are distinguished mainly by colour.
  • Focus handling in a small number of dialogs is still being improved.

We are actively working through these, accessibility fixes ship alongside regular product updates rather than waiting for an annual review.
